4oD Identity

When Channel 4 wanted to set up a TV on demand service, they approached us with five possible names for the service. We produced a series of designs for each which helped them pick the right name. The simple oD shape looks like a button: implying immediacy and ease of use.

This short logo animation plays at the beginning of every programme viewed on 4oD. The sound is as important as the image in making the sequence distinctive.

This is looping background texture, designed as a background for written information. It was important to make the sound very recessive.
